QNX® SDP 7.1 is a comprehensive software platform for mission-critical embedded systems and their long lifecycles. It includes the latest QNX® Neutrino® Real-Time OS, QNX® Momentics®Tool Suite and QNX Software Center to provide a full-featured, microkernel real-time operating system (RTOS) for ARM and x86 platforms. It also includes two networking stacks: Standard Networking to support basic networking requirements and a High-Performance Networking stack to support complex networking requirements that are demanded by high-performance computing platforms. Its comprehensive POSIX-compliant development environment will be familiar to anyone who’s worked with Linux®.
Key QNX SDP 7.1 capabilities include improved POSIX compliance and support for the GCC 8.3 toolchain, support for new QNX screen features, improved GPU accelerated graphics support and new security features and improvements such as fortified system functions and a new QNX cryptography library.Â
The QNX Neutrino RTOS offers the performance and reliability needed by today’s embedded systems. Since 1980, thousands of companies have relied on this fully featured RTOS for applications ranging from advanced medical devices, to driver-assistance systems, to industrial robotics and train control systems.
The QNX Neutrino RTOS microkernel architecture and layered security isolates critical processes, protecting them from interference, whether accidental, bugs in other components or deliberate attacks. Systems built on this RTOS can run almost indefinitely—as long as the hardware lasts.
The QNX Momentics Tool Suite offers a comprehensive, Eclipse-based integrated development environment and powerful command-line tools that are ideal for developers familiar with Linux and POSIX-compliant environments.
Regardless of whether work is on Linux, macOS® or Windows®, the QNX Momentics tools enable development teams to quickly create, debug, optimize and deploy embedded software projects, including projects built with the QNX Neutrino RTOS, the QNX® OS for Safety, the QNX® Hypervisor and the QNX® Hypervisor for Safety.
The QNX Software Center takes the guesswork out of managing software installations. It offers a multi-platform interface from which you can download, install and update all your QNX® software products and it facilitates cascading of software products, updates and patches throughout your organization.
The QNX Software Center manages dependencies and alerts you when relevant releases, patches and security updates are posted. Packages are digitally signed to ensure the integrity of the software installed on your systems and to protect your existing installations.
